Senior Consultant, Product Strategy (Hybrid)

You will think creatively about product strategy and commercialization to guide the strategic direction, go-to-market, and oversight of the product portfolio. You will collaborate and influence with business leaders to identify strategic issues, growth opportunities, providing expertise and industry insights, while ensuring focus on product management across the portfolio. You will use your unique experience to develop data-driven insights to allow the Product team to provide business solutions for the future while influencing senior partners across the organization to implement the strategy that you created. Further, through your marketing, pricing, bank relationships, and go-to-market strategy experience, you will ensure the successful commercialization of our products.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the VP, Product - Large and Key Accounts (LAKA).

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

• Strategy development and execution: Accountable for the creation and successful executing the product strategy, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and identification of growth opportunities.

• Senior Stakeholder Management: Own and accountable for influencing and persuading key internal senior stakeholders and external bank partner executives to execute the strategy and working with Product Managers to allocate resources (e.g., new marketing campaigns, joint product builds) based on the required direction

• Product Marketing: Work with Product Managers, Identifying how products will be launched in market and partner with the internal marketing team to finalize overall marketing and go-to-market strategies.

• Product Pricing: Work with Product Managers, Guide the pricing strategy and execution for each product based on market understanding, customer diagnostics, and firm constraints (working with Finance to do so)

• External Representation: represent the group and company at tradeshows (e.g., Money2020), conferences, and industry events (e.g., Elevate), publicly presenting the mission and goals of the Product team in front of external partners

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Work with partners to present data to inform decision-making and track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Team Collaboration: Foster collaboration within the product team and across departments, encouraging a culture of innovation and accountability.

• People Leadership: informal non-people management leadership in the short-term but developing into a people leader in the medium-term as analysts are onboarded

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in strategy, marketing, or product management preferably in the payments or FinTech industry.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

• Experience commercializing products, including marketing, pricing, and got-to-market strategy

• Experience persuading senior leadership to change direction and garner buy-in to a vision

• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering presentations to executives, partners and a senior level audience

• Strong business and financial acumen with experience identifying opportunities, gaps or improvements, and recommending solutions to complex issues

• Previous experience in the FinTech, financial services or payments industry considered an asset

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal); Bilingualism is an asset

• Understanding of strategy development and execution

• Project, product management, and commercialization skills with experience delivering results.

• Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in data analysis tools.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and lead strong performing individuals

• High level of adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience supporting small and medium-sized businesses and understanding their unique challenges.
