Senior Consultant - Power Platforms Specialist
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platforms Specialist with 6-8 years of relevant experience to join the Operational Excellence team at Fractal. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing a host of complex Power BI dashboards, which serve as the backbone of operations within Fractal. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining automations using Power Automate, providing reports with key business metrics to senior leadership in the organization.
Role Details

• Develop, maintain & enhance complex Power BI dashboards with technical mastery in: Data manipulation & parameterization using MQuery/ M language in Power BI
• Writing custom functions in MQuery
• Pulling data in Power BI using APIs, SharePoint, SQL, DirectQuery connections
• Advanced DAX evaluations including, but not limited to, creating complex measures using: Iterative functions (MINX, MAXX, CONCATENATEX, SUMX, COUNTX, RANKX, and so on) Calculated tables (SUMMARIZE, ADDCOLUMNS, UNION, SELECTCOLUMNS, CROSSJOIN, VALUES, DISTINCT, and so on) Relationships using DAX (CROSSFILTER, TREATAS, USERELATIONSHIP, and so on)
• Implementation of Field Parameters, Bookmarks, Tooltips, Drill Through features in Power BI
• Dataflows in Power BI & Implementing dynamic row-level security
• Enhance and optimize existing code and its performance with the help of DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Measure Killer, Performance Analyser and other such tools
• Understanding and application of how Dashboard subscription works on Power BI service
• Understanding and application of Paginated Report creation
• Create Power Automate flows to trigger data refreshes (ability to use Power Automate Desktop in attended & unattended modes)
• Creating Power Automate flows to trigger automated workflows which would enable: Sending automated emails to senior stakeholders with business updates. Creating and sending dynamic adaptive cards to business leaders. Creating structured flows which are reusable with the help of Parent-Child flow concepts.
• Ability to work with Power BI APIs with the help of authentication using Azure Active Directory and Service Principal account
• Understanding of SharePoint Lists
• Experience of Azure Devops Integration with Power BI for CI/CD

Qualifications and Skills

• 6-8 years of experience in Power Platforms, with a focus on Power BI and Power Automate
• Expert-level knowledge in Power BI, DAX, and Power Automate and experience with data integration from various sources like APIs, SharePoint, SQL, and DirectQuery connections
• Understanding of RESTful APIs in PowerBI
• Ability to work individually and as a part of a dynamic team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Up to date with new releases and functionalities in Power BI
• Willingness to understand and dive deeper into Fractal ways of working and operational concepts for a service-based organization.
• Demonstrated ability to guide and mentor junior team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
