Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Configuration Management Analyst to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting an acquisition program for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications System. The successful candidate will provide program and project management support the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) Acquisition Programs. This program is designed to extend SACCS systems life and transition into the follow-on system, known as Sentinel ICBM System (formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD))
Our team includes existing staff with extensive expertise in the current Minuteman III weapon system and actively participates in ongoing studies and assessments for future systems updates. Duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Apply configuration/data management principles to develop, streamline and document the Configuration Processes.
  • Application of Configuration Principles to Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition and Software Acquisition.
  • Enforces Systems Engineering processes to ensure Configuration Management is compliant with the Systems Engineering Plan.
  • Control and manage the engineering baseline for the project.
  • Conduct audits to ensure program development is complainant with Configuration Standards.


Potential candidates will validate the abilities to accomplish the following activities while demonstrating strong leadership attributes of a team of subject matter experts accomplishing the same:

  • Model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required to cover both business items and customer requirements.
  • Review and approve all correspondence delivered to customer as deliverable item.
  • Follow all required processes especially the peer review process to ensure quality of products being delivered.
  • Accountable to the Program Manager for tasks/assignments
  • Shall serve as a focal point for individual tasks/projects.
  • Directly support government leadership and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Maintain other duties as assigned.


Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.
This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience or a master's degree with 5 years of experience.
  • At least 3 years of progress responsibility in providing technical leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of Configuration Management processes involving industry and Air Force Standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of Systems Engineering Processes.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
  • Previously performed contractor engineering control/release processes.
  • Able to apply complex management and administrative principals.
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills.
  • Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years.
  • Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Hill AFB, Utah, and is not conducive to telework schedules

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Previous work with DoD, USAF or other military organizations.
  • Experience with technical systems development.
  • General knowledge of MS Project, Primavera or other scheduling tools.
  • General knowledge of requirements management tools.
  • Knowledgeable of on acquisition documents such as Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition, Statements of Work, and Performance Work Statements.
  • General knowledge of model-based systems engineering processes.
  • Prior experience on managing a program baseline.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
