What You’ll Be Doing:
Job Title – Senior Compliance Analyst
The Senior Compliance Analyst reports to the Compliance Manager. The Senior Compliance Analyst will be responsible for running the day-to-day compliances and tasks for Evolent India & Philippine subsidiary and will assist the compliance work for other Evolent group entities as required (hereinafter together referred to as ‘Evolent Health’ or ‘Evolent’).
This position will be responsible for preparation, review, and timely completion of Evolent’s compliance process. The Senior Compliance Analyst must be detailed in their approach with a deep desire for continuous process improvement.
Detailed profile
- Responsible for all Direct Tax and Indirect tax compliances applicable to Evolent India and its Philippines subsidiary.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax related financial reporting and disclosures.
- Reconcile Tax ledgers on monthly interval and get it reviewed from manager.
- Timely computation and payment of all statutory dues applicable in India & Philippines such as Income tax, TDS, GST, VAT, EWT, Withholding tax, MSME, DST and other applicable laws.
- Timely preparation & filing of periodical tax returns such as Income tax return, Tax audit, Transfer pricing, TDS returns, GST, STPI, FEMA, RBI, EWT, VAT and other applicable laws.
- Generate and issue periodical TDS / EWT certificates to stakeholders.
- Responsible for STPI / Software export compliance, E-BRC and any other documentation required in software export cycle. Ensure timely closure of Softex in Bank records.
- Prepare and file GST & VAT refund application and resolve queries raised by tax authorities.
- Responsible for periodical Group reporting on tax & compliance related matters.
- Assist in tax compliances of group companies as and when required.
- Handle Tax assessments, audits and litigation. Timely responding to tax notices.
- Co-ordinate with internal and external auditors, consultants and tax authorities to resolve tax disputes and assessments.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for tax related matters to facilitate audits.
- Prepare adequate Transfer pricing documentation.
- Co-ordinate with other dept. / stakeholders, to ensure that all transactions are carried out in compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Advise management on new tax regulations / directions and impact on Evolent group.
Required skills -
- CA with 3-5 years of experience in handing Direct Tax, Indirect tax, Transfer pricing, international tax compliance.
- Having experience of working with Big 4 CA firms would be preferred.
- A keen eye for detail and a good understanding of tax laws, compliances, and regulatory framework.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, organize and plan work effectively to meet goals and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional departments.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey business requirements and technical needs in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
Mandatory Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
