Working under general supervision, the Senior Compensation Analyst provides advanced analytical expertise in the planning, design, development, and administration of employee compensation and total rewards programs across the organization. Principal outcomes of this position include modeling and recommending strategies and programs that maximize the King's Hawaiian's competitive offerings, drive business results and support the Company's strategic goals in a cost-effective manner. This position will interface regularly with all levels of the business to ensure compensation and recognition components continue to be competitively positioned and effectively attract, retain, and reward associates. The Senior Compensation Analyst will interact with his or her supervisor as needed. Most activities may be completed without a supervisor's approval.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide advanced analysis to guide the design, implementation, and administration of King's Hawaiian's compensation programs.
- Leverage a network of influential relationships with leadership of all levels across the company to drive the company compensation and total rewards strategies
- Lead the planning, analysis, and administration of the Annual Salary Review process, as well as the annual Operations compensation review.
- Work strategically, collaboratively, and influentially on projects with cross-functional business partners and across many business groups to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Provide influential guidance to management regarding salary changes associated with promotions, demotions, transfers, and relocations as well as market and equity adjustments.
- Manage the administration of the Company's short-term incentives and applicable variable pay programs.
- Lead the research, analysis, and implementation of projects that support compensation and recognition design projects including data collection, data analysis, ROI analysis, presentation development, communication, and program implementation.
- Develop targeted, impactful communication of employee total rewards through email, presentations, and program documentation to various audiences throughout the organization.
- Advise and aid HR Business Partners to identify, evaluate and resolve broad and diverse compensation issues.
- Partner with HRIS to configure and enhance business processes, compensation rules, plans, grades and grade profiles, compensation packages, stock and bonus plans and other compensation-related objects in Workday.
- Manage participation in salary surveys, analyze survey results, and make recommendations relative to benchmarking jobs across the organization.
- Make proposals to ensure pay structures, grades, ranges and practices are aligned with business strategies.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and management of the employee recognition program.
- Analyze the effectiveness of recognition initiatives through employee feedback and participation metrics; make improvement recommendations as necessary
- Partner with managers and supervisors to analyze, document and evaluate the Company's jobs.
- Partner with Legal to conduct research into regulatory legislation and identity impacts to compensation programs.
- Provide ad-hoc HR reports and statistics as needed and maintain strict levels of confidentiality.
- Provide guidance and compensation consultation to other Irresistible Food Group entities as needed; support the development of a strong Total Rewards approach within each entity.
- Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned.
BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with concentration in HR, Business, Accounting or equivalent work experience required; Certified Compensation Professional or similar certification preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in a Human Resources or Finance-related function required ; Minimum 2 years' experience in a compensation or analytical position
- Demonstrated background of progressive responsibility in HR with extensive knowledge of compensation practices, principles and regulations required; experience in a large multi-state retail/corporate environment preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Proficient knowledge of compensation theory and practice in implementation of organization-wide pay structures and special pay and incentive policies
- Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization
- Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job duties to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
- Proficient knowledge of HR Management software such as Workday, PeopleSoft or similar
- Proficient knowledge of Windows-based business computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel and Outlook
- Working knowledge of the principles of employee recognition and program administration
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
- Demonstrated capacity for gathering/scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
- Ability to assertively solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Consistently demonstrates a commitment to Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
Annual Base Compensation Range: $105,000 - $145,000
