Your Role:

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing SpringWorks’ global cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud-Only organization, this role plays a crucial part in shaping SpringWorks technological future while ensuring existing cloud systems are robust and secure. Reporting to the Sr Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations, this role will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's networks, physical and cloud infrastructure, and management of related outsourced managed services providers. 

This is the most senior, and only internal, role in the function which is accountable for cloud infrastructure throughout the organization. Responsibilities include establishing and administering the overall technical architectures and operational practices of these systems.

Location Classification – Hybrid: 

This role will be required to work onsite 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), or more depending on business needs. #LI-Hybrid

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates leadership and partner management skills to ensure infrastructure services are delivered successfully whether they are provided internally or via outside vendors.  
  • Ensures infrastructure service delivery teams understand how to make the right trade-offs between speed, quality, and cost. Connects the business stakeholders with the broader IT services. Ensures value is being captured from the entire lifecycle of the investment (from launch through retirement). 
  • Shows good judgement in communication: Communicates successes and issues accurately, urgently, and to the right audience, and takes accountability for ensuring effective management of expectations with business leaders. 
  • Operates a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by the infrastructure team.  
  • Provides strategic direction and oversight for the full life cycle of infrastructure systems, working in close partnership with peers, and identifies where common approaches, solutions, and shared platforms could drive efficiency. 
  • Directs the development of an infrastructure sourcing and support strategy and provides executive oversight for vendor and partner relationship management. 
  • Develops related IT policies and procedures that support a scalable and secure IT environment. 
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory obligations including Sox, GxP, and GDPR. 
  • Oversee the management of Azure and AWS cloud operations, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and security of our cloud-based infrastructure. 
  • Develop and implement strategies for Microsoft 365 infrastructure, including administration and support. 
  • Ownership of the technical architecture and strategic decisions related to IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring they align with SpringWorks business objectives. 
  • Ensure the company’s infrastructure systems are designed with a focus on security, risk mitigation, and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain a clear strategy and roadmap for Azure cloud services, governance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and lead the implementation of Azure solutions, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring. 
  • Ensure the implementation of security best practices for IT resources, including identity and access management, network security, and patching.  
  • Manage physical IT infrastructure including networking, compute, AV, and physical access control, ensuring compliance with industry best practices, efficiency, and security. 
  • Design and operations of network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks in partnership with vendors. 
  • Collaborate and partner with other IT leaders across towers and business stakeholders to align infrastructure and operations initiatives with overall business strategy. 
  • Implement enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity solutions to minimize operational risks in collaboration with head of IT Security, Risk, and Compliance. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including data privacy and security requirements. 
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance of IT systems. 
  • Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost management. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Role Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology-related discipline
  • Experience with the ISO 27001 framework and certification a plus. 
  • 7+ years of relevant IT experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree 
  • Experience in Technical Leadership, including technology planning and architecture, developing roadmaps, and estimating costs. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure administration. 
  • Extensive knowledge of networking in Azure cloud, AWS, Cisco Meraki and Cisco ISE appliances. 
  • Familiarity with zero-trust security architectures and cloud-only technology architectures. 
  • Experience with Service Now for IT Service Management (ITSM). 
  • Broad and deep understanding of modern computing technology, systems and network architecture, data management, information security, and cloud-based services. 
  • Awareness and use of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. .

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors effectively and clearly in a remote hybrid work environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally including overnight stay driven by business need.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $165,000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
