Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices, along with secondary skills in Terraform or Python. As a pivotal member of our DevOps team, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our cloud-based applications and services on the AWS platform. Your extensive experience with AWS services and Kubernetes will enable you to automate infrastructure provisioning, streamline configuration management, and optimize deployment processes. You'll be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud environments, while also driving best practices for automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
What You'll do:• Kubernetes Management on AWS EKS: Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS for running containerized applications. Implement best practices for cluster management, including lifecycle management, scaling, patching, and ensuring high availability.• Containerization: Utilize Docker to containerize applications, ensuring consistency across development, testing, and production environments. Develop and maintain Docker files and Docker Compose configurations for multi-container applications.• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources. Ensure modularity, reusability, and version controlled Terraform configurations to enable efficient infrastructure deployment.• AWS Infrastructure Architecture: Architect scalable, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions on AWS. Design and implement AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation to support application workloads and services.• CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Design and implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline. Automate build, testing, and deployment processes for seamless application delivery.• Terraform & CI/CD Integration: Integrate Terraform into CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and configuration of infrastructure alongside application deployment.• Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar solutions to track application performance, system health, and detect anomalies in real time.• Centralized Logging & Analysis: Configure centralized logging solutions like AWS CloudWatch Logs, the ELK stack, or Splunk to aggregate, analyze, and visualize logs across distributed systems for troubleshooting and insights.• Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices and enforce compliance standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, HIPAA) within AWS environments. Safeguard infrastructure using encryption, IAM roles/policies, security groups, and other AWS security services to maintain least privilege access.• Cost Optimization & Resource Management: Continuously optimize AWS resources to maximize cost-efficiency. Leverage auto-scaling capabilities, right-size resources, and use AWS Cost Explorer and other management tools to monitor usage and reduce cloud expenses.• Cloud Governance: Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud governance, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance across AWS environments. Regularly audit resources and configurations to avoid potential risks.
What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience of working as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS cloud platform.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and secondary skills in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and their configuration, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in AWS environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to debug complex issues in cloud infrastructure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Comfortable working in rotational shifts
• Ability to quickly learn new platforms, languages, tools, and techniques as needed to meet project requirements.
• Self-motivated and directed, with strong attention to detail.
• Certification on Terraform / AWS certified is a plus.
