Job Description
Performs financial analysis for purchasing. Forecasts requirements, issues periodic reports on trends, and negotiates pricing, discounts and contracts. Purchases materials, equipment, supplies, services and commodity products. Evaluates bids and selects and recommends suppliers. Negotiates price, delivery, quality and service. Follows up on all awards through completion of order. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, and losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Evaluates suppliers and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and 5‑6 years related experience to be proficient in the above areas, or an MBA and 3‑5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education.
