Job Description

As the Buying Team we take care of the purchasing of all products and the regular expansion of the ABOUT YOU brand portfolio. We are always on the lookout for exciting, new and timeless fashion and lifestyle trends from all over the world. For this purpose we define seasonal assortment strategies and create seasonal and financial plans. All purchasing budgets are managed by ourselves and the analysis and evaluation of KPIs is also one of our tasks. A good relationship with our suppliers is important to us, so we take care of good relations and contact with our partners. As a Senior Buyer (m/f/d) you are responsible for the purchasing of external brands and constantly keep an eye on the relevant KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Independent purchasing of external brands while adhering to the planned purchasing budget and considering all relevant KPIs
• Purchasing planning in coordination with the Head of Buying
• Development, optimisation and support of the product range
• Conducting (and participating in) of negotiations on terms and conditions with suppliers
• Competition and market monitoring
• Regular and proactive coordination with Merchandise Management and Conditions Management

Requirements

• Degree in economics or textile management
• At least four years of professional experience in an independent purchasing of external brands
• Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills
• Several years of negotiating experience
• Strong communication skills, negotiating skills and assertiveness
• Structured approach to work and reliability even in phases of high stress
• Distinct sense of trends and understanding of fashion as well as a high affinity for sports
• Hands-on mentality
• Fluent English skills
