FabFitFun is looking for a Food + Beverage Buyer to join our Merchandising team! Reporting to our Director, Brand Partnerships, this person will be an integral part of establishing our food and beverage category expansion. This category manager will be responsible for driving revenue and margin through product assortment, product selection, vendor relationship management, merchandising, and a keen understanding of trends. 

Location: This position is eligible to work hybrid from our HQ in West Hollywood, CA or remote in the following states: CA, FL, NY, TX

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for growing both dropship and confirmed buy F&B business
  • Develop and manage tier 1 & 2 brand partnerships
  • Negotiation and execution of complex deals 
  • Buy products according to line plan, ensuring you meet financial goals for Ecomm (margin, SKU productivity, revenue) and Box (cost benchmarks, Q score/Awareness targets) while maintaining a well balanced assortment
  • Work with senior cross-functional leaders to ensure F&B strategies are created and are executed
  • Deep understanding of the components/ingredients of product and within category and is able to clearly and effectively speak to them, understanding any risks associated
  • Uses feedback/learnings to influence assortment and understands how it will help hit category/company targets
  • Attend market and/or trade shows seasonally

What You’ll Bring:

  • Extensive knowledge of F&B industry including laws and regulations
  • 4-5 years of buying within a food & beverage focused company, experience with perishables is preferred
  • Ability and experience managing 50+ active brand conversations at one time
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Can manage complex F&B vendor relationships along with sourcing new food products
  • Ability to manage open to buy (OTB) and meet company financial goals 
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Strong negotiator 
  • Seasoned ability to effectively communicate and influence teams around product, ideas, negotiations, etc.
  • Organizational and multitasking skills, with ability to meet deadlines

The expected salary range for this position is $100-120K.  The compensation package will also include an initial equity grant, in addition to a range of generous medical, dental, vision and other perks & benefits.Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of job-related factors such as skill set, geographic location, market demands, experience, and education / certifications. If we extend an offer for employment, we will consider all individual qualifications.
