Position Summary
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive business intelligence solutions utilizing Tableau, Excel, and SQL to analyze, interpret and visualize complex datasets for the Lottery Insights group and FL SGEP.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and design dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business optimization and improvement.
- Develop advanced Excel models-using complex formulae.
- Utilize SQL to query, manipulate, and optimize large datasets from multiple sources, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
- Maintains and refines key analytic products that are relied upon substantially within the organization.
- Proactively generates insights based on regular evaluations of the lottery marketplace.
- Utilizes business intelligence tools such as Tableau to create and present content for FL SGEP and Lottery Insights group.
- Communicate finding and insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, translating technical analyses into actionable business recommendations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendation derived from data analysis.
- Create hands-on Tableau dashboards for leadership according to their needs, demonstrating real-time data visualization capabilities and flexibility.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Must have 5 years of experience in positions performing business intelligence analysis performing the following:
- Utilizing hands-on experience in developing and deploying solutions that address business problems, with demonstrated success in related data product development.
- Utilizing experience querying large-scale datasets with advanced SQL.
- Expertise in Tableau for data visualizations, dashboard development, and interactive reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including complex formulae and pivot tables.
- Strong SQL skills with expertise in writing complex queries, stored procedures.
Must have 3 years of experience performing the following:
- Data programming using R, and Python.
- Basic modelling techniques including decision trees, logistic regressions, and Python.
- Statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and confidence intervals.
- Quantitative data analysis, with a demonstrated ability to develop answers to loosely defined business questions by using large datasets along with appropriate statistical techniques.
- Managing complex analytic projects and products.
