The Senior Business Insights Analyst plays a critical role in providing strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus is to work closely with stakeholders, gaining an in-depth understanding of the customer’s business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the overall context in which the business operates. This position is pivotal in identifying and documenting capabilities and contributing to decision-making optimization to address business opportunities.
- Identify, analyze and address diverse business issues, translate large data sets into digestible
results, and develop focused, actionable solutions that support specific strategic priorities. - Work closely with executives and leaders in their supported function to provide key analytical support, assist in setting performance targets, and enable effective decision making based on objective, data-driven observations.
- Develop intelligent, insightful, and clear reporting on the key performance indicators related to their area(s) of focus.
- Design Tableau dashboards and visualizations that present compelling information and will result in actionable results for the business stakeholders.
- Present findings and outcomes to senior leaders in a clear, concise manner
- Analyze trends & drivers, provide interpretations and analysis of actual performance versus plan/forecast and assess the impact on future results.
- Offer analysis and insights to help focus area leaders / other business partners to gain efficiencies and improve bottom line performance.
- Ensure the integrity, usability, and standardization of data, and subsequent metrics, across multiple sources and business units
- Partner with the Finance, FP&A, and COE Analytics teams to validate numbers and calculations to ensure consistent reporting across the enterprise.
- Develop and maintain internal network relationships across functional lines to validate concepts, support information gathering, and facilitate the socialization of ideas.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing or Business Administration.
Work Experience/Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years successful experience in business, accounting, or finance performing statistical analyses
- Demonstrated proficiency in using multiple data sources to draw inferences/conclusions and communicate those findings effectively.
- Prefer experience in veterinary, distribution, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and to bring them to completion.
- Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills required.
Technical Skills
- Use the latest analytics and visualization tools, such as Alteryx, SQL, R, Python, and Tableau to formulate and track strategic opportunities in partnership with analytic teams across the company.
- Experience accessing, extracting, and analyzing information from a variety of
- data warehouse sources (e.g., MySQL, Redshift, Google Analytics, and Snowflake)
- Proven ability to initiate, lead and deliver analytic projects.
- Strong candidates will have a curious mind, a passion for synthesizing information from multiple sources, the ability to interpret data through the lens of customer behavior, and a habit of translating data into insights that drive action.
- Strong business aptitude with the ability to rapidly learn new problem domains and become conversant in the domain with subject matter experts.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Demonstrated presentation skills as well as the ability to develop agendas and facilitate meetings and discussions.
- Effective written communication skills including drafting appropriate correspondence.
- Strong and proven project or process management background.
Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive
$60,600.00-$86,500.00
