Imagine a world where Lottery Systems, GEM and the Gaming Systems communicate seamlessly, like a perfectly coordinated symphony. At the core of this technological harmony is a vital role known as a Senior Business Analyst (SBA). As a Senior Business Analyst, you will focus on GEM functionality in addition to bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, acting as the architect of digital transformation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Elicitation:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and desired outcomes from the project.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and analyze existing documentation to elicit and document detailed requirements.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Ensure effective communication, manage expectations, and provide updates on the progress of the API project.

Business Process Analysis:

  • Understand existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements through API integration.
  • Analyze workflows, data flows, and dependencies to optimize business operations.

Documentation:

  • Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, API/Interface documentation and integration guides.
  • Ensure these documents serve as references for developers, users, and other stakeholders.

API/Interface Design and Specification:

  • Work closely with technical teams, architects, and developers to define API/Interfaces design and specifications.
  • Document API endpoints, methods, data formats, authentication mechanisms, error handling, and versioning strategies.

Use Case Analysis:

  • Identify and analyze use cases for the API to understand how it will be utilized by different systems, applications, or external parties.
  • Determine functional requirements and integration points to ensure seamless interoperability.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define UAT scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions, gather feedback, and ensure the systems meet business requirements and expectations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work with the QA team to define test plans, test cases, and test data for testing.
  • Ensure the systems function correctly, handles errors appropriately, and perform optimally under different scenarios.

Change Management:

  • Assist in change management processes, including impact analysis, change requests, and version control.
  • Manage changes to the design, functionality, and deployment process, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

Post-Implementation Support:

  • Provide support during the post-implementation phase, address user queries, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate continuous improvement of the system based on user feedback.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, API/Interface design, specifications, and documentation.
  • Finance or Accounting background a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and testing practices.
