POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Individual Markets Production Management group supports all Operations business functions and other downstream stakeholder groups. The Senior Business Analyst will be an integral contributor towards the execution of key control functions and FAST issue resolution across Individual Markets portfolio, having broad exposure across many Operations business areas. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our Production Management team as a Senior Business Analyst. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of, and technical insights within, the FAST platform for Individual Markets. This position can be located in Des Moines, IA or Hartford, CT.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

FAST platform Issue Triage & Remediation Management

  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies or issues affecting new business issuance, post issue transaction processing risk, analytics, accounting, reporting.
  • Manage and/or perform remediation activities for reported issues by internal accountable teams such as New Business, Post Issue, Agency Services, Product Ops, Customer & FP Portal, Accounting, EDH related to the FAST platform and connected integrated functions or systems including EXL OnBase, DTCC, RegEd, amongst others.

Control Processes

  • Execute daily control processes to address FAST data-related issues caused by system limitations or human error.
  • Ensure proper execution of controls in compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with GA Configuration team and FAST team to assess long-term solution opportunities for common, repetitive trends of issues.
  • Contribute to ideas for enhancing system-level controls (e.g. NB Case Requirements) to mitigate downstream policy impacts that require reprocessing to resolve, improving customer experience and Operational efficiencies.

Configuration Change Request Analysis

  • Lead or participate in requirement gathering sessions to analyze and determine viability of system configuration to support enhancement requests from Operations.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of Annuity or Life Operations experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
  • Experience with the FAST operating platform preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Ability to navigate complex issues to gather relevant needed information from both internal and external partners.
  • This position is not eligible for visa candidates now or in the future.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office. 

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. 

The base salary range for this role is

$50,500$96,000 USD
