The Role
As a Senior Brand Strategist at SoFi, you will drive strategic efforts across three critical areas that are key to our brand’s growth and success. You will leverage insight-driven storytelling, cultural relevance, and product innovation to position SoFi as the go-to financial partner for millions of members.
1. Key Brand Initiatives
Help lead our efforts to unlock new cultural verticals—music and sports. You will play a key role in building on our success in sports while expanding into music, creating strategic frameworks for how SoFi can meaningfully engage with these cultural spaces, artists, athletes, and fans. By crafting powerful, insight-driven narratives and building strong cross-functional partnerships, you will ensure SoFi makes a cultural impact beyond traditional financial marketing.
2. Bank, Invest and Credit Card
Lead strategic brand efforts across SoFi Bank, SoFi Invest, and our growing credit card offerings—the fastest-growing areas of our business. You will develop compelling messaging strategies, creative briefs, and campaign ideas that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of our financial products. Additionally, you will explore opportunities for expansion into emerging financial trends and asset classes.
3. SoFi Plus
Take ownership of the brand strategy for SoFi Plus, our premium membership program. You will be instrumental in refining SoFi Plus’ value proposition, crafting impactful messaging, and increasing adoption among members. This includes exploring new benefits and partnerships to enrich the offering and enhance member value.
What You’ll Do

Develop and execute strategic brand initiatives that position SoFi as an innovative leader in financial services.

Create and lead marketing strategies for emerging cultural verticals, starting with music.

Build and refine messaging for key product categories, including Bank, Invest, SoFi Plus, Credit Cards, and more.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Creative Studio, Product Marketing, and Media.

Lead brand research efforts with external vendors to uncover new insights.

Develop earned media strategies that increase brand awareness and engagement.

Measure and analyze brand and product marketing efforts, using insights to refine future strategies.

Craft and present compelling brand narratives that influence senior leadership and drive decision-making.

Support the development of foundational brand documents, including the Brand Book and Visual Identity.
What You’ll Need
Characteristics:

Qualifications / Skills:

Bachelor’s degree.

8+ years of experience in brand strategy, creative strategy, or product marketing.

Strong experience developing brand-led marketing initiatives that drive business growth.

Ability to analyze and synthesize research into actionable insights.

Experience developing creative briefs and evaluating marketing campaigns.
-
Familiarity with digital, social, and influencer marketing strategies.

Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
