Your role at Clorox:

Senior Brand Manager, will support cross-functional teams to develop and implement integrated positioning strategies that commercialize new products and maximize brand exposure. This role encompasses the comprehensive management of Burt’s Bees Canada, including overseeing brand P&L, launching innovative products, and supporting the development of strategic brand plans.

In this role, you will:

Role & Responsibilities:
As a Senior Brand Manager, you will support cross-functional teams to develop and implement integrated positioning strategies that commercialize new products and maximize brand exposure. This role encompasses the comprehensive management of Burt’s Bees Canada, including overseeing brand P&L, launching innovative products, and supporting the development of strategic brand plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Marketing Management: Oversee the omni marketing strategy for Burt’s Bees Canada.
  • Brand P&L Management: Ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with US brand counterparts to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, and product launches.
  • Innovation Launches: Drive the introduction of new and exciting products. following the commercialization process
  • Communicate S&OP plans and updates to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic business decision. Support the end-to-end Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure alignment between sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels.
  • Manage Agency Relationships: Oversee and coordinate with external agencies to ensure alignment with brand strategy and successful execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Market Research: Lead/support marketing research initiatives to inform strategy.
  • Consumer/Customer Communication: Manage/support all consumer and customer communications.
  • Direct Report: Associate Marketing Manager reports into this role.

  • Collaborating with Business Teams: Work closely with various business units to understand and deliver product news, ensuring alignment with plan commitments.
  • Developing and Managing Projects: Oversee multi-faceted projects encompassing operational, financial, sales, and marketing components from concept to completion, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and adhering to tight deadlines.
  • P&L Responsibility: Utilize strong analytical skills to manage financials and develop data-driven recommendations for innovation, pricing, and distribution strategies.
  • Conducting In-Depth Analysis: Perform thorough analysis and concept/product testing to assess and communicate business potential.
  • Collaborate with US Counterparts: Work closely with US teams to align strategies, share insights, and ensure cohesive execution of brand initiatives across North America.
  • Engage and Manage External Agencies: Collaborate with external agencies as necessary to support brand strategy.
  • Analyze Performance and Market Conditions: Evaluate current performance, trends, market conditions, and other factors to make informed recommendations for revenue goals.
  • Prepare and Communicate Reports: Develop and present project updates and business review reports to management.
  • Develop Annual Business and Marketing Plan: Formulate and recommend the annual Business and Marketing Plan to drive brand sales, market share, and profitability.

Qualifications:

  •  BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent working experience.
  •  5-7+ years of related professional and progressive Brand Marketing experience in the CPG industry.
  •  Solid business acumen with proven experience in the P&L and budgeting process.
  •  Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
  •  Proven leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  •  Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  •  Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  •  Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  •  Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  •  Proficient in MS Office, Excel &PowerPoint.
  • Experience with research and new product development.
  •  Proficient in Nielsen IQ and/or Numerator
