Job Description
Mattel ANZ are seeking a Senior Brand Manager to join our Marketing team! In this role you will develop and execute go to Market plans for the Plush, Action Figures & Construction portfolio.
The successful candidate will have a strong commercial skill set, well developed planning and organisational skills, and will be excited to join a purpose driven, fun (we sell toys) and fast paced organisation where no two days are the same.
As a Senior Brand Manager you will be responsible for:
- Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with global priorities to drive brand growth.
- Continuously adapt plans based on business needs, market dynamics, performance metrics, and key objectives.
- Collaborate with Mattel APAC, licensing teams, and external partners to implement marketing strategies, ensure brand alignment, and meet contractual obligations.
- Analyse market, trade, and consumer data to inform pricing, promotions, distribution, and competitive strategies.
- Monitor SKU performance, sales trends, and competitor activity, providing actionable recommendations to optimize performance.
- Lead portfolio discussions, sales forecasts, and cross-functional initiatives to achieve financial targets and YOY growth.
- Manage budgets, commercial calendars, and reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify and quantify whitespace opportunities, partnering with product managers and sales teams to drive additional sales and market opportunities.
- Champion a data-driven approach, reviewing projections, risks, and opportunities to meet short- and long-term objectives.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualified in either marketing, business management, economics, or other business related disciplines.
- 5+ years of loving life as a Brand Manager.
- A love of finding the answer through numbers.
- Experience working with/ within retailers to build and execute plans.
- Experience with partnering with Sales Teams for a shared result.
- The want and ability to inspire, engage and influence others.
