We are looking for a contract Senior Biostatistician to collaborate with our AI team. In this key role, you will play a crucial role in designing and performing sample size calculations, power analysis and any other relevant data analytics.
This will be a contract position with project work of up to 5 hours per week and is a hybrid-role based in our Vancouver Headquarters located at 1290 Homer Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.

What You’ll Do
- Design and perform sample size calculations, incorporating factors like effect size, variability, power, and significance level.
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to understand study objectives and provide statistical input on study designs to ensure proper power.
- Ensure sample size considerations align with study objectives and ethical guidelines.
- Adjust sample size calculations as needed based on interim data or protocol changes.
- Prepare detailed documentation of sample size calculations, assumptions, and methodologies for study reports and regulatory submissions.
- Identify and address discrepancies and inconsistencies in data, providing valuable feedback for improved accuracy
- Collaborating closely with the regulatory team to prepare the product for clinical validation, including FDA compliance and other regulatory requirements
- Other biostatistical tasks may be assigned as per need.
What You’ll Bring
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Expertise in statistical methods for sample size calculation and power analysis.
- Proficiency with statistical software such as R, SAS, or STATA.
- Experience with diverse study designs, including clinical trials and observational studies.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving study requirements.
