What you’ll do ​& Who you are

We are looking for a passionate new team member to join us as a Senior Backend Engineer (d/f/m), Trust and Safety.

This is your opportunity to improve the experience of millions of users and have an impact by building a platform that enables sustainable trade for everyone. You will develop services for our trust and safety domain to prevent fraud and safeguard our users.

You will be part of a cross-functional team including members from Product, Customer Service, Analytics, and Engineering with the mission "to make our platform a safer place to trade".

This is a hybrid role, and our office is based in Berlin. You will report directly to the Tech Lead - Trust & Safety.

Your tasks and responsibilities.

• You will work together with Product and Design to develop the future of a safe and trusted kleinanzeigen.de platform

• Your will keep the platform's architecture clean, stable and scalable

• You will handle up to 60k requests per second while the platform is still growing

• You will promote your own ideas for code, process and product improvements

• You ensure quality and maintainability by improving build and test systems

• You bring in your own perspective of how our users' problems can be solved
