HarbourVest is seeking a Senior Associate to join our new Transfer Agency Oversight team, delivering outstanding operational services to our clients and partners. This is an outstanding opportunity to help improve and scale our global operations.
The ideal candidate is someone who is:

Strong operational knowledge, with a deep understanding of fund administration and Transfer Agency processes, specifically with closed end funds, as well as evergreen structures

Motivated (self-starter), able to work across multiple teams, different levels of seniority and geographies

Collaborative and skilled at building strategic operating models to support business growth and scale

Risk-aware, with the capabilities to find opportunities and implement solutions

Excellent client service orientation
What you will do:
-
Have daily operational oversight, assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of TA processes, including data validation, document handling, and timely execution of transactions

Partner with internal business teams to represent HarbourVest to ensure the TA meets the global operating model standards

Lead and facilitate meetings with TAs, distributors, and other parties as needed

Act as an escalation contact for the TA and various HarbourVest operation teams

Calculate various distributor/intermediary fees and coordinate payments.

Own the documentation and evolution of the operating model ensuring that accountabilities and deliverables are clearly defined, understood, and met

What you bring:

Knowledge of the private wealth industry, inclusive of open and closed ended products

Prior experience withing with external providers (fund administrators, transfer agents, custodians, intermediaries)

Attention to detail, organized, and committed to excellence. Able to multi-task and problem solve

Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form
Education Preferred:

Bachelor of Arts or Science (BS/BA) or equivalent experience
Experience:
-
5+ years’ experience in financial services preferably in private equity (Associate level)
