Key responsibilities for this role include:

Promote and develop Viatris Institutional as the primary source for generic pharmaceutical products within the assigned territory, to exceed assigned sales goals and call plan activity.

Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and communicate to them on issues regarding new products, key products, launch products, inventory status, contract pricing changes, and other business critical information.

Become an industry resource for your customers, keeping up to date with key industry topics, drug shortages, and have the ability to communicate this information effectively.

Contact a defined customer base, to include Key Account Managers and House Accounts, by telesales, direct mailing, faxes, e-mails and in some instances face-to-face interactions.

Assist Key Account Managers with managing their accounts through telesales and assisting district managers with coverage of open/vacant geographies.

Forward orders received and new account information to Viatris Institutional Customer Service as required.

Communicate to Key Account Managers pertinent information affecting their customers and the MI business.

Constantly prospecting for new business and accounts. Relay information on these accounts and markets promptly to the affected Key Account Manager, District Manager, and the applicable internal services.

Send out announcements for new product launches and communicate back feedback from accounts.

Analyze sales figures and territory data for accounts on a routine basis or as requested by the sales leadership. Utilize CRM and sales analytics resources to most effectively maximize territory sales performance.

Communicate pertinent information on competitive pricing to Sales Management, Sales Operations, and Viatris Institutional Bids and Contracts Department.

Perform all other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:

The preference is for the candidate to be based from a location in the Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones of the US.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required. 1-2 year(s) minimum experience in Sales preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Knowledge of procedures for establishing relationships via telephone, fax and e-mail. Must have an understanding of the basic sales process.

Must possess basic computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.

Position functions autonomously, and directly reports to the District Sales Manager of Institutional Sales.

Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.

Add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems

Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently standing, walking, stooping and climbing stairs. Repetitive Computer entry/typing. Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. Periodic travel is required

Physical Demand Strength Rating: Sedentary Work.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $42,400 - 63,600.
