Role Purpose and Summary
- Provide technical expertise and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering support during the bidding stage of projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and alignment with project requirements. Collaborate with the project bidding team and other technical functions to deliver high-quality technical solutions, leveraging MEP engineering experience and knowledge
Experience
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in project management in infrastructure-related projects across various industries; experience working in India and in private equity, financial services, or an infrastructure fund is preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and/or Civil or equivalent); Master’s degree is a plus
Key Responsibilities: Role Specific Technical Responsibilities
- Technical Design and Compliance
- Assist in developing initial MEP designs that meet RFP requirements and align with project objectives
- Support the evaluation of design alternatives, assessing their impact on project performance, cost, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals by incorporating MEP aspects in collaboration with the Construction Services and Operations & Maintenance teams
- Transaction Support
- Analyse RFPs, project documents, and other resources to identify MEP risks and opportunities, providing detailed insights to senior team members
- Conduct reviews during technical due diligence to ensure feasibility and compliance with local and international MEP standards
- Provide inputs on MEP aspects to support the development of bid strategies and overall commercial models
- Coordination and Communication
- Collaborate with EPC contractors, external consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure MEP considerations are addressed during the bidding stage
- Provide MEP insights during pre-bid and post-bid discussions, supporting senior team members in negotiations with EPC contractors and project stakeholders
- Assist in coordinating the handover of MEP designs and specifications to the Construction Services team, ensuring clarity and alignment before financial closure
- Process Improvement and Documentation
- Contribute to the development and refinement of technical policies, standards, and manuals specific to MEP elements
- Maintain organized records of design inputs, assumptions, and decisions for knowledge management and future reference
- Support efforts to enhance technical services by proposing innovative solutions to improve MEP engineering processes and outputs
