Blue owl is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join the Management Company Controllers Team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting and auditing, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role involves preparing journal entries, financial reporting, audits, and various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple foreign entities accounting, reporting and compliance.
- Lead the preparation of journal entries, monthly financial statements, and annual audit reports.
- Oversee and assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards for foreign entities.
- Prepare and analyze financial data using Excel, including creating complex spreadsheets and financial models.
- Manage month-end, quarter end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes for international operations.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records for all foreign entities.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations in multiple currencies
- Collaborate with finance team to gather and analyze financial information.
- Provide support and guidance during internal and external audits.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures across all foreign entities.
- Prepare quarterly VAT, GST, Consumption tax returns and compliance forms for monthly/quarterly filing
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned, demonstrate leadership and initiative in running with new tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA a plus.
- 5-7 years of accounting and/or audit experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles/practices and accounting for foreign exchange.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Familiarity with Oracle and Smart View is a plus.
