The Senior Associate, Hedging will be responsible for supporting the hedging team’s derivative execution through trade lifecycle management, P&L attribution, process automation, and data analysis.
What You Will Do:

Lead hedging team in the ongoing management of the post-trade processing lifecycle for derivative executions that hedge our firm’s insurance liabilities.

Work collaboratively with Investment Operations and Treasury teams, serving as the subject matter expert to address inquiries and resolve issues around reconciliation, valuations and collateral, and settlements.

Generate daily exposure reports, P&L attribution, and performance metrics which allow stakeholders to evaluate the market risks of the business and our success at managing them.

Prepare investment reports, presentations, and updates for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting investment performance, strategies, and market insights.

Propose and implement, in collaboration with IT and other personnel, operational workflow enhancement including automation, new tools, etc.

Provide support to the trading desk including assistance with market research, data analysis, trade idea generation, and derivative execution.
What You Will Have:
-
An undergraduate degree is required in finance, math, statistics, economics, and/or investments.

5+ years of work experience within a financial services role involving derivatives.

Strong knowledge of financial derivatives across types (futures, options, OTC) and asset classes (equity, rates, credit).

Deep understanding of the “Greeks” used to assess the sensitivity of options and other derivatives to various factors and how they are used to manage portfolio risk.

Problem-solving mindset with an aptitude for identifying and addressing issues to resolution.

Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas.

Knowledge of Python, advanced Excel skills, Bloomberg is preferred. VBA, SQL and/or scripting beneficial.

Willingness to work towards CFA designation.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$145,000—$165,000 USD
