Job Description:
The Global Client Group (GCG) is Dimensional’s distribution arm, comprising sales channels that target a diverse client set. GCG is responsible for developing new business relationships, as well as managing current relationships with our global clients. GCG are a group of business development and client service professionals working closely together to build strong relationships with the largest and most sophisticated asset owners in the country. We take the time to gain an understanding of clients’ evolving needs, identify where we can add value and collaborate to provide a better investment experience.
The Role:
Our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) channel is responsible for working with head-offices and wealth management firms across the country. This Senior Associate role will support Regional Directors with the development of new business opportunities and service Australia based clients, with a particular focus on strategic head office relationships as well as adviser relationships connected to those financial institutions. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join a collaborative, high calibre and growing team in an organisation that has a strong track recording of promoting from within.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver complex and educational investment presentations to financial institutions.
- Develop and facilitate the production of complex client driven requests among a team of Associates and Analysts.
- Traveling with Regional Directors and develop strong business and personal relationships with prospective clients.
- Articulating complex investment principles and capital market research to financial institutions.
- Educate clients and prospects on why and how our portfolio solutions are constructed and work the way they do.
Desirable experience and attributes:
- Investment sales experience required, ideally gained from working at an institutional asset manager in a sales and client service capacity.
- Demonstrable strategic thought in growing the financial institutions group business.
- A strong sense of professional and personal integrity and high ethical standards.
- Demonstration of initiative, accountability, and a focus on delivering consistent quality work.
- Commitment to the philosophy and process underlying Dimensional’ s investment approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key selling points in a clear and compelling manner.
- An good knowledge of the institutional investment business.
- Ability to prioritise and exercise time management skills.
- A strong academic background is preferred.
- A proven track record and history of sales success is preferable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required. MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services/Investment industry.
- Proactive desire to learn.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Solid quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Able to work equally well in a team environment and independently.
- Self-starter who is capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Strong computer skills (Excel and Powerpoint) with the ability to learn programs as needed.
