The role is located in Chicago, New York, or San Francisco. There will be remote opportunity within these three locations.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an eDiscovery Senior Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves applying expertise in forensics, processing, production of Electronically Stored Information (ESI), predictive analytics, machine learning, eDiscovery project management, and technology consulting. Our goal is to enhance case strategies, reduce discovery costs, and optimize litigation profiles by effectively collecting, managing, and analyzing vast amounts of structured and unstructured data.

Responsibilities:  

  • Coordinating with client contacts to provide project deliverables, progress, timelines and advise on strategy, workflow, and best practices 

  • Designing and implementing intelligent workflow solutions to quickly identify the key facts, details, and merits of the case, and effectively reduce data volumes 

  • Analyzing and interpreting client requirements and applying them to complex unstructured datasets 

  • Providing project support to team leads and clients 

  • Responding to client requests and setting clear expectations to internal and external stakeholders 

  • Conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy of tasks/deliverables related to searches, review workflow, productions, processing and exports 

  • Working with team leads to learn and take ownership of project tasks 

  • Performing the day-to-day client engagement activities, including interaction with client personnel, internal Bright Labs team members, and other stakeholders involved in the engagement

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in MIS, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Law, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, or similar degree.

  • 2+ years of experience in a consulting environment overseeing electronic discovery. 

  • Experience with eDiscovery Review/Processing Platforms: Relativity, Reveal, Brainspace, Disco, Everlaw, CasePoint, Nuix, Law, Eclipse, or comparable.  

  • Interest in applying detail-oriented project management skills and cutting edge solutions involving analytics and machine learning to novel data.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.

  • Flexibility to travel as required

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $65,000 to $155,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
