Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, curious, results-driven Senior Art Director to join our Performance Creative team. As an Art Director, you will play a key role in the development of creative for digital design, display, social and websites.
This is someone with a passion for design, focused attention to detail, understands a creative brief and is not afraid to bring their own ideas and creativity to the table.
The ideal candidate has an understanding of digital marketing and knack for designing across multiple digital mediums. You are driven by what resonates with consumers and what makes them take action, leverage these principles and apply this to creative design.
A solid understanding of the iterative testing and optimization and how it amplifies designs and templates to meet these needs.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for concepting and designing visual solutions for display banners, social, and website landing pages.
- Ability to translate wireframes into high-fidelity mockups with attention to interaction design whilst following style and brand guidelines.
- Extend visual systems/brand guidelines across all mediums, including taking the product’s mission, user research and analytics data and translate into polished and engaging design solutions.
- Knowledge of both Social and UX best practices, including user research and accessibility across mobile and web.
- Ability to understand creative briefs and apply to digital creative, while ensuring it meets strategic goals and objectives.
- Compile presentation decks for internal/external reviews and present effectively to both internal and client-facing project reviews.
- Detail oriented.
- An insatiable appetite for learning and improving is a must.
- Comfortable with minimal supervision
- Give and receive constructive feedback in a respectful manner
- Rally, mentor and support junior associates to meet project goals on time, on budget and with an unforgiving eye on quality
- Partner with Account teams to manage client and internal expectations
- Manage the day-to-day progress of a project from start to finish
Person Specification
- Experience in advertising, graphic design or similar
- 7+ years of digital design experience at an Agency or Client side; experienced with social media campaigns – design and concept preferred
- Demonstrated ability to produce and drive results across all digital ad platforms
- Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD) and Sketch. Skills in After Effects are a plus.
- Experience with front-end development, including HTML, CSS and Javascript is a plus.
- Experience with Dynamic Creative Optimization and other iterative software
- Mastery of composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished final pieces.
- Must have a portfolio with recent designs and projects that you’re proud to share with us
- Has an impeccable attention to detail and proven delivery of flawless execution.
- The ability to multi-task, perform under pressure and effectively handle tight deadlines, unexpected delays, revisions, ad hoc requests, and changing priorities.
- Must be able to present work effectively to internal and external teams.
- Knowledge in banner, social and, web design.
- Demonstrates art direction experience with high taste level and great aesthetic.
- Proficiency in design, digital, video, social and beyond—campaign integration across all channels.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, know how to receive and deliver constructive criticism, and works well team members.
