Your role:
Leading the team to define and implement service information solution that is suitable for current and upcoming features and needs, while conforming to non-functional requirements. Ensure creation and realization of architectures: products, solutions, services and software focusing on architectural and design decisions for Serviceability proposition of the business. It is expected that you are hands on with design and development.
- Design, Architect and Develop applications and components within a highly motivated software development team focused on the creation of next generation medical information systems -and applications
- Lead the architecture and design for the serviceability propositions through interaction with cross functional stakeholders. Owns up the end to end responsibility of architecture and design.
- Delivers a consolidated (reference) architecture: creating well-defined building blocks / system options & scenarios; choosing the optimal architecture, leveraging technology and contributing to/driving roadmaps; establishing control points.
- Ensures solid, up-to-date and usable documentation of the architecture and implementation using methods & tools for a structured approach.
- Drives the implementation of architecture hand in hand with the development team.
- Acts within the total context, (business, organization, roadmaps, external world, overall ecosystem etc.): driving for convergence; capturing / re-using prior art and in- and external trends; remaining up-to-date with regard to professional knowledge
- Interact with platform teams to communicate requirements, influence the technical considerations and features and define clear integration strategy for platform components
- Communicate the problem, solutions and benefits of the solution to stakeholders.
- Align multiple content streams (service documentation, information for use, technical and clinical education, and support) to a single methodology for capturing knowledge and the conversion of that knowledge into a tangible asset for Philips.
- Determine the most effective technology solution to support the content methodology.
- Support teams in the implementation, deployment and enablement within a global workforce.
- Support governance and manage change requests for both the processes and tools.
- Coaches team to drive the best in class development practices. Provides feedback for the development of engineers in the team.
You're the right fit if:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or related field
- Prefer Master’s degree in related field
- Must have 15+ years’ in design and development activities. Hands on experience in developing large scale software projects. At least 4-6 years of experience in driving architecture. Proof points of delivering the projects and interactions with end customers.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Object-Oriented Design, Service oriented architecture and microservices, Web Services, Amazon Web Services (AWS) , Relational Database Design, SQL, Java, AngularJS, HTML5, C#, .NET, .NET Core..
- Experience with large-scale 24/7 production environments.
- Good Knowledge of Relational (MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL) & NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Experience with configuring cloud monitoring tools.
- Experience with continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment technologies, design and concepts
- Individual must have strong analytical skills
- Individual must have strong problem solving skills and be able to provide solutions to users quickly and effectively and must be able to multi-task
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and be able to effectively work in a virtual cross-functional team environment
- Must have influencing skills to drive the cooperation with key stakeholders
- Ability to contribute to the Architectural Knowledge Base
- Experience working within a structured (SCRUM) development team
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
