The Senior Digital Marketing Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing a company’s digital marketing strategy. This individual is responsible for designing and implementing innovative, scalable, and data-driven marketing solutions that align with business objectives. They act as a bridge between marketing, technology, and business teams, ensuring the seamless integration of platforms, tools, and campaigns to enhance customer experiences and drive measurable results.

- Work with technology leaders, product owners, and principal engineer developing roadmaps, frameworks, reference architectures, and artifacts. align on strategic direction, translate business requirements into technology roadmaps and participate in planning how roadmaps will be realised.
- Seek consensus from domain experts before making key architectural decisions in technology, processes, and people topics.
- Participate with principal engineering leads in the design process to ensure detailed designs adhere to and are consistent with the target architecture.
- Lead evaluation of next generation technologies by conducting RFI, RFP, and POCs.
- Participate in business partner and vendor product roadmap development as a method of realising our vision.
- Define requirements for taxonomy, standards, guidelines, procedures, templates and tools, and provide a linkage for these components and develop reference & target architectures, patterns, standards, future roadmaps and capabilities within Digital Marketing stack.
- Work closely with the Head of Enterprise Architecture and Commercial Strategy and AI Architect to build and govern an enterprise architecture framework that underpins the Global Tech strategy and is aligned to business objectives
- Overall accountability for delivery of architecture services for Digital Marketing Tech
- Reduce complexity in the application and infrastructure portfolio and associated cost structures
- Increase reuse of global and GSC architecture standards and shard services
- Ensure that systems are developed and implemented in accordance with good professional practice and comply with applicable architectural, regulatory, and risk management requirements
- Keep abreast of industry trends and new technologies that have the potential to impact employee productivity and GSK operations. Identify how new technologies can be appplied within the company to improve operations
Why you?Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Minimum of a BA/BS with 10 years of progressively responsible experience as an engineer and as an enterprise architect in the Pharma or other highly regulated industry
- At least 3 years experience operating under regulations that impact the Pharma industry (e.g. GxP, GDPR, Sarbanes Oxley) at global level
- No less than 5 years experience on Adobe stack (AEM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target)
- 3 years of experience in Customer Data Platforms (SalesForce Data Cloud, Adobe AEP, Tealium Audience Stream)
- 1 year of experience on SalesForce stack (Marketing Cloud, Experience Manager, Ad Cloud, Social Cloud)
- 1 year of experience with Social Media, Programatic (Sprinklr, Google Marketing Platform, DV360, TradeDesk, DSP, DCO, CMP)
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Understanding of core digital marketing technology platforms and operational technologies in pharma industry environments
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps organization
- Experience working with ITIL, ITSM, TOGAF, or similar frameworks
- Experience working in highly secure environments with active participation in negotiating security risk with business value or operational impact
- Be a leader with vision in the architecture space, leading efforts to define, advocate, and present solutions that meet customer requirements and ultimately deliver business value.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with internal customers and establish strong, collaborative partnerships with engineers, non-technical leaders, and executives.
- Experience in seeking the alignment of business and Tech, driving common approaches, delivering sustainable, re-usable solutions using both agile and waterfall.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate change and challenge the status quo
- Ability to work in close partnership with other Tech functions such as, security, compliance, infrastructure, etc. as well as partner closely with business leaders across global tech organisations to maintain the architecture in line with end user experience strategy
