The Position
The "Senior Architect - Data Management & AI" is a technical leader with a deep understanding of business goals, business processes and solutions architecture who designs and supports the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural standards.

Reports to a member of the IT Management Team. Interacts with internal stakeholders across business units as well as external suppliers and partners
Essential Functions

  • Lead evaluation, design, and analysis of enterprise-wide solutions
  • Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives
  • Provides a point of contact for supporting the applications in support of one or more specific business processes or areas
  • Works on the projects and initiatives assigned by IT management team
  • Leads in the development and/or maintenance of technical documents. Reconciles solution design with business requirements. Designs application prototypes when necessary
  • Design solution recommendations and alternatives to satisfy customer needs
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, applications and infrastructure teams to produce optimal designs
  • Delivers messages and presentations in a clear, confident manner. Produce technical documentation of systems and architectures
  • Ensure compliance of solutions to architectural standards
  • Act as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings focused on solutions in the Commercial Data Mgt and Analytics solution space
  • Acts as a primary liaison between the business or function and vendor to provide updates, ensure alignment and monitors vendor activities
  • Leverages knowledge of risk management standards for current processes, projects, and systems


Physical Requirements
10% travel including some international.
Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, Data Science or related field preferred
  • Experience Level: 8+ years related experience in architecture, design, and implementation experience
  • Strong background in application and solution development in data management and AI/ML
  • Proficiency in solution design, data management, data integration, data cleansing, and the application of model design, evaluation, and development techniques, specifically within the realm of data management and AI/ML
  • Experience in Snowflake, Python, SQL, Dataiku, AWS, Azure, ETL (Informatica IICS etc.)
  • Knowledge of utilizing Snowflake and Dataiku to build and deploy AI/ML models
  • Good knowledge of data modelling & data warehousing concepts
  • Proficiency in data cleaning, feature engineering, and data normalization to prepare the data for model training.
  • Understanding of statistical methods and tools for data analysis and model evaluation.
  • Familiarity with neural network architectures, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and deep learning frameworks.
  • Knowledge of all phases of the project and system development methodologies
  • Excellent technical writing, document organization, technical document review and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with knowledge of various presentation frameworks for persuasion
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Data like IQVIA, Komodo, Veeva, Customer or Product Master Systems
  • Knowledge of BI reporting
  • Experiences in agile development and testing
  • Demonstrated problem solver with an ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems
