Amentum is now hiring an Senior Application Engineer in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, design, develop, redesign or enhance, install, and implement various technology products, like specialty and other computer or industry equipment and systems, and enhances computer programs.

Apply knowledge of software and programming to develop and test computer systems and produce the necessary outcome for clients.

Drafts technical white papers that help people better understand the technology behind them and assist in providing instructions that help the client better understand the nature and applications of a specific product.

Participate in information gathering meetings with clients to determine the clients' needs, business goals, and desired outcomes.

Gather and research information; confirm specifications, standards, and changes required to make or improve a product; and report or present information and new ideas to be implemented into new and existing services, products, or equipment.

Work with management and multiple departments within companies such as customer service, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure customer specifications and needs are met.

Resolve problems, help other departments, answer questions about the technical functionality, and provide technical support for products.

Keep current in software field and stay informed and aware of latest industry practices and developments in science and technology.

May work with heavy machinery and specialized equipment-planning, designing, implementing, and testing improvements.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree.

Minimum of 9 years of working experience. Will accept 5 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.

Must have an Active TOP SECRET/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting C5ISR DEVCOM programs.
