Heart failure is an important element of Edwards’ innovative solutions. Our Strategy and Business Development team manages the broad corporate heart failure strategy, with a focus on the external portfolio activities.
This role is an onsite or hybrid role based at our corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.
How you'll make an impact:
The Senior Analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to advance our corporate heart failure strategy and inform investment decisions.
- Support annual strategic planning process for the portfolio of heart failure investments
- Lead financial modeling in support of strategic plan, diligence, and scenario analysis
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on projects that support our planning process or address open issues
- Synthesize competitive and market intelligence (e.g., drug/device landscape, trends) into actionable insights
- Collaborate with global colleagues to plan and execute research, develop targeted business plans, and prioritize investments for heart failure therapies in their regions
- Develop presentations and tools to facilitate communication of the heart failure strategy for internal leadership and external audiences

What you'll need (required):
- Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering, finance, statistics or related field
- 4 years experience in an analytical, strategic marketing, or business consulting role
What else we look for (preferred):
- Master’s Degree or equivalent, MBA
- Strong analytical and financial skills with a demonstrated ability to understand and dissect markets, competition and industry trends
- Experience building and managing market models, using Excel
- Experience in medical device, biotech or health care
- Eagerness to learn and tackle a wide variety of initiatives
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment, including the ability to work with vendors and a range of project stakeholders
- Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Strict attention to detail
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $127,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
