We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst to join our company.

ATI seeks a Senior Analyst with experience working on the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) to join our company. The ideal candidate has experience working inside a PACE program or closely with PACE organizations and brings a strong consulting or healthcare operations background, understanding the interaction of state and federal policy, managed care, and healthcare operations. This individual will support client engagements primarily related to PACE and may support other engagements focused on populations with complex care needs. The individual will provide strong client services orientation from project conception to delivery; have experience and comfort in managing to project deadlines; have familiarity with health policy issues in Medicare and Medicaid; and have an interest in growing with the company.

Responsibilities                                                           

  • Manage and lead efforts to support existing and prospective PACE organizations, primarily with PACE feasibility assessments for organizations looking to enter PACE, preparing state and federal applications, developing PACE operational plans, advising states on PACE feasibility, supporting PACE and PACE-adjacent growth opportunities, and advising on PACE operational improvements.
  • Analyze relevant legislation, statutes/regulations, and policies (e.g., the annual Medicare Advantage regulations and rate notices), and summarize for internal and external audience.
  • Use strong judgment to understand and help project leadership solve client problems including identifying programmatic and strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on PACE and other programs and issues affecting individuals with complex care needs and think creatively about analyses and datasets to deliver value to clients.
  • Develop written summaries, policy briefs, and PowerPoint presentations to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Present to clients on subject matter, with the ability to present to an executive level audience.
  • Manage client projects largely independently from conception and kickoff through final delivery of project, with project leadership support and guidance.
  • Further content expertise on PACE and develop content expertise on a range of other healthcare and aging issues.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in public policy, public health, public administration, business, economics, or other related field.
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience focused on Medicare and/or Medicaid; ideally serving in or working closely with PACE organizations. Other preferred experience includes consulting, research or healthcare operations specific to Medicare and/or Medicaid populations.
  • Subject matter knowledge in PACE operations or interest and capability to understand the details of operationalizing a PACE program.
  • High level of initiative, responsiveness, quick learning ability, and resourcefulness.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Comfort presenting analyses to external audiences.
  • High degree of professional maturity.

Preferred skills

  • Experience and comfort in independently analyzing data, including budgets, financial estimates, and/or pro formas.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing health legislation, regulations, and policy/program information, and preparing written summaries and visual displays that clearly convey information.
  • Ability to problem solve independently, pivot quickly based on client needs, and work with incomplete or uncertain information.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to synthesize extensive research findings into relevant insights.
  • Ability to manage and lead tasks and less complex projects, providing critical insights into project design and execution.
  • Ability to contribute to business development by supporting firm’s thought leadership efforts (e.g., data analysis used in external press), helping to manage client relationships, and scope of work/proposal development and RFP responses.
  • Strong consulting aptitude and client services orientation
