Position Purpose: This role will be joining the Value Based Payment (VBP) department with Fidelis Care. The Senior Analyst, Innovative Partnerships will help to manage projects, performs quantitative analyses, and generates reports to support the company's strategic planning and project implementation process in relation to specified innovative partnerships.

*Note: This role is remote. but may require travel to the Long Island City office for in-person department meetings (monthly or as needed).

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for multiple key provider initiatives including the implementation and engagement with the provider, understanding all facets of the agreement.

  • Develop return on investment and opportunity analyses for partnerships with key metrics being tracked on a continuous basis throughout the lifecycle of the program.

  • Support innovative payment model research, design and implementation with enhancement of member value and the improvement of health outcomes top of mind.

  • Query, analyze and summarize data using SQL, SAS, Python, and/or R.

  • Identify utilization trends and member cohorts of interest and make recommendations on opportunities for initiative opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Finance team to integrate analyses on cost and quality to inform strategic decisions.

  • Act as a supporting analytical resource in the development, reporting and interpretation of measures including membership, cost, and utilization metrics and trends that support and strengthen management's understanding of key cost drivers.

  • Work in conjunction with internal stakeholders on appropriate process flows and communication of ongoing partnerships.

Education/Experience: BA/BS – Bachelors Degree Required. MBA/MHA/MPH Preferred. Graduate education in health care administration or other related areas preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant healthcare operation or policy experience. Communicate with technical and business constituencies effectively. Experience in writing business specifications and requirements. Knowledge of Financial, Asset Management, and Expense modules.

Work Related Experience:

  • 3-5 years of health care experience preferred.

  • 1-2 years of Project Management or Data Analyst Lead experience preferred.

  • SQL coding experience is highly preferred. SAS, Python, and/or R experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Power BI is highly preferred.

  • Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be skilled to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate with all levels of management for both internal and external customers.

  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently or with a team.

  • Ability to control and complete projects on time; involve others in planning; estimate effort in time and duration to complete assigned analysis tasks.

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
