Position Summary

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for helping the Finance and Account teams manage the day-to-day budgets and spending across a portfolio of clients in Brand Marketing, Experiences, Talent Representation and Partnership Development working across all groups within our company.  In this role, the Senior Analyst will be looked to for their expertise in finance and accounting to help support our growing business.


Essential Functions

The position of Senior Analyst in Financial Operations will support the business by organizing, managing, tracking, analyzing and reporting finance activity. Reporting to the VP Finance, this person will manage internal / external clients and vendors in collaboration with the Accounting department. The Senior Analyst will help ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial deliverables with clients and for the business. A byproduct to the work will be healthy client accounting and ability to assess and forecast revenue for the business to be able to make critical financial decisions.

  • Support the company’s core financial process including annual plans, quarterly, and monthly forecasts.
  • Develop reporting and management tools related to the finance function.
  • Develop financial forecasts while driving systems, processes and controls to enable broader financial subject area expertise within the organization.
  • Drive process improvement to streamline and automate manual workflows.
  • Prepare weekly cashflow forecasting submissions, obtain payment approvals, set up wires and make sure payments are processed in a timely matter.
  • Ensure invoices created for all fixed and variable fees are accurate and done on time.
  • Prepare and review new vendor/client agreements to determine billable items and proper revenue recognition.
  • Organize and manage client related finances.
  • Review of client accounts and vendors to ensure accurate reporting and timeline management.
  • Create and maintain budget trackers for events, activations and scopes for a variety of clients.
  • Assist with the creation and submission of SOWs on client events, activations and programs.
  • Prepare all event/project budget reconciliations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that internal and external clients continually receive superior service, thinking and communication from the Finance team.
  • Manage client-vendor payments and internal expense reports and coordinate necessary communications of payables.
  • Partner with functional area leads to track spend and forecast future performance
  • Oversee budget and expense reporting to ensure all adhere to client agreements and business policy.
  • Assist with any projects and additional ad hoc requests.
  • Maintain highest degree of financial confidentiality.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • College degree required in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Previous accounting/audit/finance experience very desirable
  • Ability to use Microsoft productivity software with proficiency in Excel.
  • Impeccable communication skills (oral, interpersonal, and written)
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and to anticipate issues that may arise proactively and quickly determine next steps
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively perform tasks in a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational ability
  • A positive and helpful attitude


Considerations

  • The base salary range for this full-time position in New York, NY:  $70,000-$90,000 annually
  • This represents the salary range that Allied Sports, in good faith, might be willing to pay for this job at the time of this posting. Actual base salary depends on several factors, including market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), and level of responsibility. Allied Sports expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Allied Sports would consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range only in truly exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position.
  • Hybrid schedule: Office in New York, NY with 3 days in-office (Tues-Thurs) and 2 days remote (Mon & Fri) weekly.
  • Open to a fully remote schedule for potential candidates outside the NYC area who have substantial experience, skills, and work ethic.
