Job Description

Position Purpose:

This role is responsible for providing detailed Supply Chain finance support via analysis, reporting and insights.

Scope:

Pallets, North America

Major/Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides business with analytics and insights to support strategic and operational decision making and in doing so, influences improved business performance and capital allocation decisions.

  • Supports the implementation and adoption of standard finance tools and processes.

  • Identifies and explains drivers of supply chain performance.

  • Provides analytical support to key stakeholders and business leaders via supply chain financial analysis,

  • business case preparation, strategic initiatives, financial process governance, and global alignment

  • Partners with supply chain team and supply chain finance business partners on mid months, month end, budget, and forecasts

  • Forecasts, monitors, and supports in tracking supply chain initiatives.

  • Supports other supply chain analysis and projects as required.

  • Develop analytical frameworks / reports to monitor and visualize business and product performance.

  • Builds models for automated data analysis and predictive insights.

  • Analyses existing data sets to identify patterns, outliers, and areas of inconsistencies through relationships that exist in the data.

Measures:

  • Quality and effectiveness of strategic and operational decision support provided will be measured by the year on year and cumulative revenue growth for the region and improvement in profitability metrics (ROCI, ULP, etc.).

  • The quality of insight and commentary on the financial results and performance within the market(s).

  • The % of standard tools and processes developed and adopted within the market(s).

Authority/Decision Making:

  • Finance approval limits as defined by the Brambles, BU and CBU LOA matrix

Challenges:

  • Ability to work across different time zones and cultures both within Finance and across the Business.

  • Navigating the complexity of working and developing relationships in a matrix structure.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data science or related plus 2 years of analytical business partner experience. Also requires experience with Microsoft Excel; building and preparation of scorecards, dashboards, and management reporting desirable; and interpreting and presenting output to executive levels of the organization.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Well-developed use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, especially in interpreting complex subjects for partners.

  • Effective in managing cross functional stakeholders and competing priorities across an entire organization, including senior leaders.

  • Understanding of CHEP business and flows strongly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts preferred.

  • Experience in financial and/or supply chain data analysis tools and techniques preferred. Examples include (but not limited to):

    • SAP/Business Warehouse, Business Objects/Power BI, QlikView

  • Knowledgeable in data science tools and techniques preferred. Examples include (but not limited to):

    • Time Series Data Analysis,

    • Understanding and application of probability statistics

    • Time series data analysis

    • Python programming

    • R programming

    • Data Visualization

    • SQL
