Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate and provide strategic guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders based on data-driven insights, including (but not limited to) helping stakeholders understand their target audience, and measuring the impact of their efforts through:
- Deep dive analysis
- Experimentation (Test & Learn)
- Predictive Modeling
- Support Choice’s Commercial Mix Model. This includes managing relationships with our partners to ensure data inputs are correct, timelines are on track and the model continuously evolves to be more efficient and effective. This also includes translating the modeled results into digestible action items for our stakeholders and combining with other data sources into a coherent performance readout.
- Work with other teams within the Advance Analytics Department (Digital Analytics, Data Visualization, Market Research, Data Science, etc.) to develop insights and ensure efficient ongoing evaluation of key initiatives.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Ideal fields of study include Business Analytics and Management, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science and/or Marketing.
- 3+ years of advanced and/or predictive analytics experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in SQL or R/Python/SAS.
- Tableau experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with customer and marketing analytics is strongly preferred.
- Experience with experiment design, some statistical modeling.
- Ability to model complex problems with numerous assumptions, inputs, and scenarios.
- Strong knowledge and ability to translate data/trends into business decisions that enhance business performance.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and timelines efficiently and effectively.
- Must be an energized self-starter who can work independently; comfortable challenging organizational norms and accepted thinking to improve effectiveness.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization, including senior management.
- Strong communication skills – includes oral (one-on-one and presentations to large audiences) and written.
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Manager, Marketing Science. You will collaborate with other senior analysts on the Commercial and Marketing Analytics Team, overall analytics team and cross functional departments.
Your Work Location
As our Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $85,294-105,000 annually.
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
