ABOUT YOUR ROLE
Reporting to a Senior Director, Taxation, the incumbent will assume an active role in various aspects of domestic and foreign tax compliance, as well as income tax accounting, for PSP and its affiliates.

Manage efficiently tax compliance mandates

Communicate effectively with external tax advisors and act as the lead tax contact

Take a lead role in the preparation of the annual/semi annual tax provisions of PSP and its subsidiaries for jurisdictions responsible for

Manage responses to queries from internal and external stakeholders on a timely basis

Manage tax audit matters related to PSP and its subsidiaries

Work in close collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Investment teams on various projects

Provide value-added tax advice during the holding period of private investments

Stay abreast of worldwide tax trends and developments and assess impact on PSP and its subsidiaries tax compliance obligations

Contribute to increase tax awareness within the organization

Contribute actively to the maintenance and improvement of tax tools and tax compliance processes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
-
Graduate studies in taxation or completion of CICA In-Depth Tax Course
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
Professional designation (Chartered Accountant CPA) an asset
-
Strong technical background with eight (8) to ten (10) years of relevant tax experience
-
Experience in international tax an asset

Highly motivated to lead multiple projects and create value

Proven track record of developing and nurturing solid and positive working relationships, both internally and externally

Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
