Job Description

The Senior Accounts Executive will oversee the entire Accounts Receivable process across the APAC region. This includes tasks such as billing validation, cash application, and supporting the accounting team with various ad-hoc projects. These projects may include balance sheet reconciliations, reporting and analysis, and managing the Travel Expense Management System (CONCUR). Additionally, this role will act as a backup for the Accounts Payable person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Head of Finance - APAC.
  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes on an APAC scale.
  • Validate billing and manage cash application.
  • Assist the accounting team with ad-hoc projects, including balance sheet reconciliations, reporting, and analysis.
  • Oversee the Travel Expense Management System (CONCUR).
  • Provide backup support for the Accounts Payable function.
  • Offer management suggestions for improving Accounts Receivable, accounting, and business processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from a recognized Malaysian university.
  • 3-5 years of comprehensive accounts receivable experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience using ERP systems and intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, work under minimal supervision, multitask, and be a team player.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time role. Only candidates located in Malaysia, and Malaysians or non-Malaysians with a valid permit to work in Malaysia, will be considered.
  • The successful candidate will undergo a stringent background check process, including verification of qualifications, prior employment history, criminal records, and credit/bankruptcy, as part of the hiring process.
