The analyst will be responsible for conducting walkthroughs with stakeholders within the accounting group (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Tax, Corporate, and Financial reporting) to identify areas where automation or process improvement might yield savings or improve overall financial accuracy. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to learning new skillsets within the realm of automation, able to effectively leverage tools within Microsoft’s power platform, comfortable leading meetings with stakeholders, and proficient in documenting processes and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Conduct detailed walkthroughs with cross-departmental stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions, utilizing Power Query for Excel, Microsoft PowerBI, and Microsoft Power Automate, to enhance financial processes that align with user specifications.

Document processes, procedures, and workflows ensuring clarity and consistency.

Lead meetings and collaborate with various departments to drive automation initiatives.

Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and stress testing of automation tools.

Conduct trainings with key stakeholders on how internally developed tools are intended to work.

Maintain and update existing automation tools, ensuring they operate as intended.

Provide training and support to end-users on automation tools and processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge of Power Query, Power BI, and Power Automate.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage stakeholders, and drive results.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Business Intelligence are preferable.

Previous experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining process automation tools.

A background in accounting or finance is a plus, but not required.

Prior experience with Workday is a plus, but not required.

Proficiency in SQL is a plus, but not required.

Proficiency with VBA is a plus, but not required.

Proficiency with Python is a plus, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Handling of average weight objects up to 15 pounds; occasional standing or walking; frequently at a keyboard, workstation, or desk.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically in a normal office administrative environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks.
