Job Description

Senior Accountant duties and responsibilities:

  • Pay supplier invoices, taxes and employee expenses
  • Prepare VAT Returns
  • Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
  • Post and reconcile Company bank accounts
  • Post and review intercompany transactions per company policy
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Account schedule preparations and reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end audits
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications

Senior Accountant Requirements:

  • University degree (Accounting, Economics, Finance) or equivalent required.
  • At least 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
  • Good business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to train and manage staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
