About the role
We’re seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Grimes, Iowa. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Accounting Manager to enhance financial operations and support Crunchyroll’s expanding e-commerce goals. You’ll lead by example—offering mentorship and fostering collaboration as we scale.
- Oversee core accounting areas including expenses, accruals, prepaid assets, fixed assets, cash transactions, and intercompany reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations during monthly close.
- Support accuracy in Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Partner with Sony teams on tax filings and resolve discrepancies or notices.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Leverage ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) for inventory and financial reporting.
- Recommend improvements to business processes to boost scalability and efficiency.
- Help maintain strong internal controls and manage financial risk.
This hybrid role requires three days onsite per week in Grimes, IA, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.
About You
- 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency (including PivotTables, SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, and macros).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems
- Leadership capabilities with the ability to guide others.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
