Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be a “hands-on” individual contributor with strong accounting, financial analysis, reporting skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.  This individual should be proactive, committed to continuous improvement of processes and can consistently apply policies and procedures.  This position will report to the Plant Controller.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform a variety of close, reporting, and support tasks within the accounting department of an established company.

  • Prepare month end journal entries and reconciliations timely and accurately maintaining GAAP and FICAP compliance.

  • Manage Fixed Asset control, CIP classifications and monitor in service dates.

  • Management Reporting and Analysis - Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and use reports to drive improvements and escalation of issues.  Perform cost analysis/cost-rolls, manufacturing variance analysis, including standard cost establishment

  • Provide Forecasting and Budgeting support

  • Participate in Sarbanes Oxley testing reporting, with emphasis on prevention, elimination, and timely close-out of control deficiencies

  • Projects and Special Assignments - This will include audit support, physical inventory, and many special projects and assignments.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required

  • 4-6 years' experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing company preferred

  • Strong computer and financial analysis skills.

  • Ability to work and communicate well with all types of people inside and outside of the organization.

  • A good understanding of financial statements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required.

  • Must be detail-oriented.
