We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant, where you will play a key role in managing and enhancing our financial operations. Your expertise will drive accurate financial reporting, strategic decision-making, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable (managing vendors, coding, approvals and payments), accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Collaborate with FP&A team to manage funds
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct Balance Sheet reconciliations (Prepaid, AR, Fixed assets, AP, Accrued liabilities, Intercompany balances, etc.)
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP, providing detailed analysis and insights.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess financial performance.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage Divvy (Corporate Credit Card & Reimbursement portal), audit support documents and code to ERP
- Maintain and enhance financial systems and software, ensuring accurate data management and reporting capabilities.
- Support management with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to enhance control and efficiency.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years public accounting, 2-3 years reporting for public company
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience with Planful is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
