About the Role
The Senior Accountant will support accounting operations, focusing on audit assistance, cost accounting, intercompany transactions, consolidations, and inventory reconciliation. You will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You will
- Assist with the preparation and closing of the financial books monthly.
- Manage and record intercompany transactions and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Manage sales tax records and ensure timely and accurate sales tax reconciliations.
- Manage monthly accounting close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reports, in accordance with GAAP.
- Contribute to the oversight of physical inventory and assist in inventory reconciliation.
- Support corporate consolidations, ensuring consistency and accuracy across multiple entities.
- Implement and refine accounting processes to enhance efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3+years in retail or CPG accounting
- Proven experience in accounting, with a strong focus on audit support, cost accounting, and intercompany reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting and intercompany accounting practices.
- Advanced Excel skills with a track record of creating robust financial reports.
- Experience using Quickbooks Online accounting software
- Ability to handle sensitive information with respect, privacy, and tact
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and take initiative without supervision.
- A proactive, self-starter with excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- In-depth understanding of GAAP principles and accounting best practices.

Work environment
