Job Description

  

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.

This position is a temporary assignment up to 6 months, with the possibility of being hired on as a regular Teledyne employee. Successful candidate must be open to this transition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • This position requires an ability to balance the demands of multiple deadlines and to adjust priorities and workflow.

  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end close.

  • Prepare, investigate, and resolve reconciling items for monthly intercompany wide billing. This includes responding to questions and solving problems from business unit managers.

  • Process financial close duties in a timely and accurate manner

  • Review, analyze and reconcile Corporate’s Intercompany loans with business units.

  • Participate in the maintenance of company processes based on best practices.

  • Support and deliver process improvements that drive enhanced operational efficiency.

  • Perform flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts for areas of responsibility.

  • Includes involvement with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit requests.

  • Coordinate, prepare, and file various consolidated government surveys to meet multiple yearly deadlines. Partner with business units to ensure timely filing of local government forms.

  • Requires extensive Microsoft Excel, or equivalent spreadsheet software skills and the ability to pay attention to detail and work within month-end deadlines.

  • Provide backup support other team members.

  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.

Education and/or Experience                                                  

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related positions and 2-8 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
