Position Summary

The person in this position is primarily responsible for performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly general accounting functions for Scientific Games. This includes but is not limited to reviewing, approving, preparing, maintaining, and reconciling assigned accounts in accordance with the framework and guidance of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Reconcile the operating cash, AP disbursement & foreign bank accounts and prepare associated journal entries
  • Perform cash forecasting for interest and other associated debt expenses and prepare associated monthly journal entries
  • Perform monthly financial close activities, journal entry preparation, monthly accruals, Blackline account reconciliations and account analysis as required for corporate US Lottery & India SG&A departments
  • On a monthly basis, prepare and provide financial reports analysis (actual vs. budget) for corporate US Lottery & India SG&A departments
  • Perform cash forecasting for interest and other associated debt expenses and prepare associated monthly journal entries
  • Perform weekly cash forecasting for Panama entity
  • Review India labor rates and labor allocation entries monthly/quarterly
  • Assist with audit requests/assignments (e.g., External, Internal, SOX, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. 5 to 7 years of experience required
  • Experience with Oracle R12, or similar ERP system is highly desired
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong work ethic and excellent organization skills; ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and work with minimal supervision
