The role Senior Accountant is responsible for the coordination and fulfillment of all local finance and accounting tasks at TRUMPF Inc., between internal departments as well as external partners and advisors, ensuring compliance with local requirements and laws.
Senior Accountant Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and fulfill local accounting tasks which are in general out of scope of TRUMPFs Shared Service Finance teams, like Accounts Payables, Record-to-Report, Invoice-to-Cash, Asset management, etc.
- Ensure compliance of TRUMPF Inc. financial statements with German GAPP, US GAPP and local tax requirements, which requires a close collaboration with involved departments like the Shared-Service Finance Teams, Tax team and the Controlling Business Partner team.
- Coordinate compliance with the Internal Control System Asset Protection (ICS), including the fulfillment of regular checks, working on process improvements with other departments, internal communication and training of changes and adjustments of the control system.
- Coordinate internal and external financial audits and related activities, like annual stock taking process, fixed assets audit, etc.
- Take care of local reporting requirements, like statistical reports to authorities and gov. departments, country-by-country reporting, etc.
- Contact person for local accounting related questions and demands of other internal departments, like HR and Payroll, Purchasing, Tax, etc., support by preparing accounting data and reports or coordinating with Shared Service teams.
Experience
- Professional Finance & Accounting experience of >8Y required
- good knowledge of international accounting standards (German GAAP, US GAAP), including tax accounting
- strong skills in managing robust processes (implementation and quality assurance)
- good knowledge of SAP FI/CO
- proficient in IT tools for analytics and reporting (MS Excel/Powerpoint, Analysis for Office, etc.)
- excellent communication skills to collaborate with other internal departments, teams, external business partners and headquarters.
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance or similar Finance & Accounting education
