We are looking for an experienced Bookkeepert to oversee the general accounting operations of our Switzerland-registered companies, ensuring that accounts and financial records meet established standards and criteria. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for controlling and verifying financial transactions, reconciling account balances and bank statements, and maintaining the general ledger. The person will also prepare month-end close procedures and ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timly manner
- Assist with payroll processing, expense reports, and ensure compliance with Swiss tax and regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure regulatory compliance and timely filings.
- Support the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in a software or venture-related environment.
- Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Abacus, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
- Degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
