Why this role is important to us:
This role is responsible for the end-to-end of the Intercompany Process for the assigned region in accordance with our Global Process and Organizational Framework. The Senior Accountant - Intercompany will be responsible for delivery of the Intercompany Service Catalogue;
(1) timely and accurate calculation of various charges e.g., departmental charges, product fees, billable hours, and other intra gain transfer pricing.
(2) Creation and sending of Intercompany billings
(3) responsible for performing ICO balance confirmation and intercompany reconciliation, clearing of intercompany account and reporting
(4) Bank reconciliation and other entries associated with product fee, dividends, transfer pricing expense
(5) performing intercompany, reconciliations. The outputs from the Intercompany process will be feed into consolidating applications and used in preparing and issuing management reporting packs.
What you will be responsible for:
- Working with Global Implementation Team - Lead organizational change in the transition of intercompany activities from across the region into the Global Finance Services
- Perform the month-end and year-end IC close processes, coordinating activities with cross-functional teams to meet reporting deadlines.
- Perform the reconciliation of IC related accounts including intercompany transactions, bank reconciliation and balance sheet items, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Responsible for meeting actual performance vs. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is met.
- Liaise with internal auditors and ensure controls are operating effectively to attain compliance
- Reviews and ensures the timely reconciliation of intercompany accounts
- Perform & investigate variances and research and resolve errors relating to misallocation or under accrual, propose correcting entries
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the Intercompany function, driving initiatives to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Regional Finance, Tax & Compliance, and Audit teams, to support business objectives and address accounting-related issues or concerns.
- Suggesting and proposing improvement solutions to standard processes, technology and policies for the intercompany function
What we value:
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years previous experience in Finance preferably in a captive Shared Services environment
- Process Focused with a detailed knowledge of process flow documentation.
- Systems Literate: A thorough knowledge of Workday Application, SAP applications other enterprise financial system.
- Proficient in MS Office products – Excel advanced (data analysis), Word Intermediate, Outlook intermediate (set meetings, manage calendar).
- Prior experienced in migrating process or Shared Service Centre environment is beneficial
- Experience with Lean principles and Six Sigma methodology preferred
